Today it is reasonable to assume that everyone or at least the majority, sometimes suffer from wifi connection problems in our homes.
We have to deal with annoying fluctuations in the signal of our routers. If you are having problems with your wifi, it may be for different reasons such as the place where your router is placed, the volume of download data or even the furniture you have around your router.
Here are 5 tips to boost WIFI signal in your home:
Location of the Router
You have to find the ideal location for your router. We recommend you to place the router in the center of your home. Where the intensity of the signal will come in an equally strong way to all the rooms of your house. If you prefer having a stronger signal in one particular room, you can move the router to that room.
Avoid Kitchen or Bathroom
Avoid placing the router in the kitchen or the bathroom, as mirrors and microwaves may interfere and reflect the signal of the router. Reduce the amount of mirrors and wireless landlines around the router. Devices like wireless landlines and microwaves work at the same frequency of 2.4 GHz, therefore they could interfere with the wireless signal.
It is possible that the download volume in your house is high, especially for constant streaming (Netflix). For computers, you can use an ethernet connection to prevent the signal from being poor; use wifi for indispensable devices like cell phones and tablets.
